Fill in the blank, then answer the question.

1. When and how did you discover your passion for ____ ?

Lately, it’s been blogging. Although I’ve been blogging for almost 3 years, my passion caught on fire since I just recently got my own domain. I was amazed how much a difference that made in my desire to add more and more to it. I wanted a webpage AND a blog and how I have both.

2. How has _____ changed your sex life?

Health problems. Bad pain has taken the place of good and fun pain. Because of that my sex life as pretty much disappeared. It’s not to say my interest is gone. I still love to read the blogs of the sex bloggers.

3. What is something unique you do to _____ your _____ ?

I’m going to sound like a broken record, but unfortunately, it’s the focus of my life now. “What is something unique you do to ease your pain.” I have found the right dosage of Gabapentin to help control the main part of my pain. If I could take Celebrex for the RA in my knees, I would be so much better, but that drug is causing problems with my kidneys, so it’s now off of my schedule. So I resort to heat to help with the overall pain. I have two heating pads which helps with the knee pain, the aching in my upper legs and sometimes for the wound site. Other times I need ice bags on the wound site. I also use an electric blanket throw over my lap (jeez, I sound like such an old lady)… I love these blankets so much that I have two of them, one on my bed and one for my chair here at my desk. These blankets are so soft and feel almost like a weighted blanket.

4. What is the craziest _____ you’ve eaten while _____ ?

Maybe it was just crazy to me… but what is the craziest food you’ve eaten while pregnant. With my first full term pregnancy and I started going into labor, all I wanted was pancakes. I went to the hospital and they said it was too early and sent me home. I was so frustrated I ate 2 dozen pancakes. Two days later, it was the same thing. This went on for four days until finally they kept me. It was another 12 hours of labor before that kid finally made his entrance. I rarely eat pancakes anymore.

Bonus: Is there such a thing as ‘too much information’? When?

For me, it’s only if what I have to say would trigger someone or freak them out. But other than that I’m an open book. Now I just need to have someone buy it.

Recipe of the Day: Crescent Mummy Dogs

Crescent Mummy Dogs

1 can (8 oz) Pillsbury® refrigerated crescent dinner rolls (8 count)
2 1/2 slices (2.5 oz) American cheese slices, quartered
10 large hot dogs
Cooking spray
Mustard or ketchup, if desired

1 . Heat oven to 375°F. Unroll dough; separate at perforations creating 4 rectangles; press perforations to seal. With knife or kitchen scissors, cut each rectangle lengthwise into 10 pieces, making a total of 40 pieces of dough. Slice cheese slices into quarters (1/2 slice cheese, cut in half).
2 . Wrap 4 pieces of dough around each hot dog and 1/4 slice of cheese to look like “bandages,” stretching dough slightly to completely cover hot dog. About 1/2 inch from one end of each hot dog, separate “bandages” so hot dog shows through for “face.” On ungreased large cookie sheet, place wrapped hot dogs (cheese side down); spray dough lightly with cooking spray.
3 . Bake 13 to 17 minutes or until dough is light golden brown and hot dogs are hot. With mustard, draw features on “face

Recipe of the Day: Impossible Pumpkin Pie

I really prefer the Impossible pie recipes over the ones with crusts simply because I’m not a huge fan of pie crust. I have made this one a lot along with Impossible Tuna Pie (wonderfully custardy with onions, cream cheese and cheddar cheese, and yeah, some tuna.)

IMPOSSIBLE PUMPKIN PIE
Ingredients
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup Bisquick (baking mix)
2 T. butter
one 13 oz. can evaporated milk
2 eggs
one 16 oz. can pumpkin
2 1/2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
2 tsp. vanilla
Instructions
Heat oven to 350. Grease pie plate, 9×1 1/4 or 10×1 1/2 inches. Beat all ingredients until smooth one minute in blender on high or two minutes with hand beater. Pour into plate. Bake until knife inserted in center comes out clean, 50-55 minutes.
