Black Friday

I don’t know if this will do any good, but if you are like me, you feel angry, frustrated, and helpless. I am unable to march, but I’ve written letters and emails, signed petitions, donated money. I know it’s not enough.

The Republicans, Christians, and Supreme Court have opened a nasty can of worms that they either are unaware of or just don’t give a fucking rat’s ass. But the fallout will affect us all. Including those on the right who are celebrating.

Some of the things we could see:

More deaths of women
More gun violence
More violence in general
Groceries and gas prices going up
More crime
More unwanted children
More abused children
Shortages of things that mostly women and babies need (formula, diapers, tampons)
Cost of healthcare going up
Not enough doctors and teachers
More homelessness
Rapes will go up and will be tolerated
Gay marriage will be repealed, and more LGBTQ people will be attacked and killed.
Title IV will be repealed.
More elections will be rigged.
Civil rights could be challenged.
More non-Christian, non-white, non-straight people will face discrimination.
Women in occupations of authority could lose their jobs, including the women who are Supreme Court justices.
Sexuality could be policed
Freedom of speech could be challenged
Interracial marriages could be in jeopardy
More younger single mothers
More younger marriages of kids not equipped to handle it
More domestic abuse
More poverty

I keep seeing those on the right cry out, “what about the babies”???
Yeah, let’s go there and talk about the babies. Who is going to take care of these babies? You know, the ones whose mothers will die in childbirth. The ones who will be abandoned. The ones that will be abused, beaten, neglected by overwhelmed parents. The ones who will be given up for adoption. I don’t see a whole lot of right-wing couples standing in line to take these children. I wonder what will happen to those babies.
