TMI Tuesday: May 4, 2021: Blankety Blank Blank

Fill in the blank.

1. Friends = _____

Distress. Not all of them; general friends and acquaintances I’m okay. I just haven’t had much luck with so-called “best friends”; people I thought I could trust who ended up betraying me.

2. I’m done with _____.

Trying to believe that conspiracy theorists like QAnon really are nice people and care about others in the world. Their actions say otherwise.

3. I’m ready for _____.

Not worrying if people will get sick or infect others simply because they refuse to wear a mask, avoid crowds, and get vaccinated.

4. The oldest _____ I have is _____.

The oldest item I have is a giant silver teakettle that my grandmother used to use to heat water for baths. She inherited it from her grandmother.

5. Take some _____, mix it all together and you have _____.

Take some education, curiosity, compassion, and empathy, mix it all together, and you have a caring world.

Bonus: Tonight I am looking forward to _____, and tomorrow I really want to _____ !

Tonight I’m looking forward to eating pizza and watch a Star Wars movie and tomorrow I really want to move computer files from my desktop to my laptop.

  1. So relatable! I definitely agree with you on conspiracy theorists, too. My brother has been engaging more and more with conspiracy theories and I definitely don’t think he’s such a nice person anymore. I try to love him, but the negativity that he emanates as a result is extremely toxic. He’s also an anti-vaxxer, though the huge difference between him and me is that again, he spreads misinformation, whereas I have chosen not to get vaccinated based on my previous experiences from working for the NHS during a past pandemic.

  2. It’s so hard when it’s family members who embrace these ideas. Friends are bad enough. I have family members who are anti-vaxxers, pro-guns, racist and conservative Christians, but fortunately, they are not militant about it. I hope it stays that way
