Josh Duggar of the supersize family from ’19 Kids and Counting’ was caught once again. Josh seems to have a difficult time staying out of the clutches of law enforcement.

First, he admitted that he had fondled and molested five little girls when he was a teenager, two of them his sisters. Then two years ago, he was caught cheating on his Christian wife of 11 years on the internet site called Ashley Madison. After each, he was sent to “counseling and Christian therapy,” which amounted to prayer and confession, and promised never to do that again. So much for prayers and promises.
And apparently, those prayers and promises didn’t work. Nor did blaming his transgressions on the temptations of Satan. Christians love to not take responsibility for their own actions and yet place full blame on non-Christians for what they see as sinful actions.
And now, Josh Duggar has been arrested yet again, this time for possession of child porn. Previously, he blamed his adultery on an addiction to pornography. I guess that addiction still exists and has now extended to child porn as well. And he is a father of six young children under the age of 12, with a 7th child due to be born this fall. How does he reconcile his addiction to child porn with his own children? No wonder the judge ordered him to stay out of places with young children.
I use to follow this family on TV. At first, I supported their decision to have as many children as they wished. Until I started learning the truth behind the scenes. The children all grew up learning that sex was only appropriate after marriage, and you don’t need to know the details of sex until just before your wedding night. I remember reading how Jim Bob took Josh aside just before his wedding day to “educate” him on marital sex—knowing full well that Josh had already experienced sexual desire and “experiment” on his own. At the same time, they learned that Jim Bob expected Michelle to submit to Jim Bob’s every sexual wish on demand. The older children were expected to care for the younger children so that Michelle could be available whenever Jim Bob was aroused. Talk about mixed messages!!
His family didn’t want to have Josh classified as a pedophile. Still, they belong to the same kinds of conservative Christians who buy into conspiracy theories that Liberals, including progressive Christians, are baby-eating Satanist pedophiles simply because those on the left are not right-wing Christians.
After each time Josh was arrested, he groveled and supplicated himself before the church expected complete forgiveness and expected an unconditional pardon since, after all, “he is a good Christian boy.” If he has been a Jewish, Muslim, or Atheist “good boy,” they would have demanded that he has his balls cut off.
I admit I’m still fascinated by this bazaar family, and I don’t know why. I periodically check to see how many new babies are born into the family and if Jana is yet unmarried, which is weird considering how much they push young marriages. At one time, I belonged to an Evangelistic church that also pushed getting married at a young age, and I was amazed and appalled at how many of my kid’s church friends were married while in high school. And members of that church criticized my son for wanting to go to college, even a Christian college. That Christian college turned him off of Christianity and alienated him from his friends from that church.
So I wonder what will happen next? Will the “family value” Christians start a GoFundMe account to raise money for his defense, like they did Kyle Rittenhouse? It will be interesting, although frustrating, to watch this all play out.
I also find it frustrating that holier-than-thou conservative Christians who claim to live by the Bible will look the other way when their members engage in sex and gun shootings. Come to think about it, I have read the Bible, and they are living up to Biblical teachings. Sad, isn’t it.

And this site reveals a lot of new information, at least new to me.
